About Nancy
I worked as a full-time psychology professor at Holyoke Community College for 27 years. Courses that I have taught include Introduction to Psychology, Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Statistics for Psychology and the Social Sciences, and Research Methods in Psychology. I worked as a psychology researcher for 6 years, and I have 9 publications in psychology journals.

I will adapt my tutoring method to each student's learning style and individual needs. As a community college professor, I enjoyed teaching psychology to students of diverse ages and backgrounds. I was an English major in college, and I have written nine articles in professional psychology journals; I am well-qualified to assist students with any type of writing assignment. I have experience in teaching students to write psychology papers using American Psychological Association (APA) format, and I can teach students to conduct statistical analyses using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). I have experience in assisting students with all aspects of a psychology research project: conducting a literature review, designing a study to test a hypothesis, conducting the study, analyzing the results with appropriate statistical analyses, and writing a research report.
