About Mrunalini Sathya Narayanan
My name is Mrunalini Sathya Narayanan, and I am a psychology graduate currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in forensic psychology. I have a strong academic foundation in psychology and a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students at different stages of their learning journey. I believe that psychology is best understood when concepts are clear, relatable, and grounded in real-world situations. My name is Mrunalini Sathya Narayanan, and my approach to teaching psychology is structured, student-centred, and firmly grounded in real-world application. I aim to help students not only understand psychological theories but also learn how to apply them critically and confidently.
I use a combination of concept-based teaching, case studies, and discussion-driven learning. Complex theories are broken down into simple, logical components, supported by real-life examples, forensic case references, and exam-oriented explanations where relevant. I regularly use questioning techniques to assess understanding and encourage analytical thinking rather than rote memorisation.
A typical class begins with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by the introduction of new material using clear explanations and practical illustrations. Guided discussion, application-based questions, and short activities, such as case analysis or scenario interpretation, follow. Each session concludes with a recap, clarification of doubts, and guidance on how to revise the topic independently.
