About Sophie
I am a provisional psychologist with postgraduate training in psychology and practical experience working directly with clients in a professional setting. I have completed the 5+1 psychology pathway and am currently progressing toward general registration as a psychologist.
Having gone through undergraduate and postgraduate psychology training myself, I understand how overwhelming psychology coursework, assessments and exams can sometimes feel. I enjoy breaking complex psychological concepts down into clear, practical explanations and helping students develop confidence in their knowledge.
My approach is friendly, patient and supportive, and I tailor sessions to each student’s learning style and goals. I want students to leave each session not only knowing the answer, but genuinely understanding the psychology behind it

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether you need help understanding psychological concepts, preparing for exams, improving academic writing, or working through challenging coursework. I aim to make psychology easier to understand by breaking complex topics into clear, practical explanations.
I can support undergraduate psychology students with topics including psychological assessment, mental health, ethics, counselling theories, research and report writing, case formulation and general psychology concepts. Lessons are conducted online in a relaxed and supportive environment, with the focus on helping you build confidence and genuinely understand the material rather than simply memorising it.
