About Alexandra
I am a Psychology MSc graduate from University College London with experience working in early years education, youth support, and safeguarding-focused settings. I have supported children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning needs, including SEND, within structured and professional environments.
I also have experience as a writing tutor, helping students with essay structure, academic writing, and clarity, as well as supporting study skills such as revision strategies, organisation, and exam preparation.
My approach is calm, structured, and supportive, focusing on helping students understand how to learn effectively and build confidence, rather than just memorising content. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs, pace, and goals.
I have particular experience supporting students who lack confidence, feel overwhelmed by workload, or struggle with organisation and exam preparation. My aim is to help students become more independent, confident learners who feel in control of their studies.

My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals. I specialise in study skills, exam preparation, academic writing, and building confidence in learning, rather than focusing only on content delivery.
I use a step-by-step teaching method that breaks tasks into clear, manageable parts so students don’t feel overwhelmed. Depending on their needs, I incorporate techniques such as active recall, guided planning, exam practice, and structured feedback. I also focus heavily on revision strategies, organisation, and helping students develop independent learning skills they can use across all subjects.
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, but I can adapt the length depending on the student’s age, attention span, and goals.
I hold an MSc in Psychology from University College London and have experience working in early years education, youth support, and safeguarding-focused environments. I have also worked as a writing tutor, supporting students with essay structure, clarity, and academic expression, as well as supporting young people with confidence and learning challenges across different settings.
My lessons are suitable for primary, secondary, and early university-level students, particularly those preparing for exams or needing support with study skills, writing, organisation, or motivation. I also support students who may struggle with focus or confidence and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs.
My aim is to help students become more independent, confident, and effective learners who feel more in control of their academic work.
