About Sylvie
I am a college student with a deep-rooted interest in psychology. I have tutored Algebra for two years, and won a recognition award in high school for tutoring. I have individually tutored two people in psychology for the length of their semester classes, and both individuals left with an A in their class. I look forward to working with you!

I like to use associations to explain complicated subjects, as well as tying things back to other concepts previously learned. For example, I may explain “social loafing” as when you’re in a group with the smart kids, so you feel as though you can slack off. That would be you social loafing, as you are working less hard because you’re in a group. I am versed in quizlet as well and highly recommend using some kind of visual aid to study vocabulary. I tend to help my students solve problems they don’t know, and am not very strict. I am also not afraid to be honest when I don’t know the answer to a problem, and will tell my students I need help to answer these questions.
