About Alice
I am currently working in the NHS as a waiting list coordinator, looking to tutor in the evenings and weekends.
I love teaching and tutoring and nothing gives me more joy then seeing the 'eureka' moment of a student who has finally grasped a topic that they were previously agonising over.
As I am dyspraxic, the usual techniques that were pushed on me at school; writing information out over and over and doing past papers; do not work for me at all. I have had to find my own ways to study and learn that are effective for me and my neurodivergence. This, along with my degree in psychology has taught me how to best teach and coach those who are dyslexic, living with autism or have ADHD.
I believe that every child has the ability to succeed in science, it is simply about finding the right methods and strategies to assist their unique and individual brains.

I believe that to learn a subject, you must interact with it.
To that end, I often create animations, diagrams and fun acronyms to better understand seemingly complicated topics.
I provide questions and past papers to further explore the concepts of biology and psychology.
My typical lesson length is approximately an hour, but I can expand this if an individual feels they may need a little more time.
I have been tutoring and teaching since helping my friends in GCSEs, to official tutoring through my university academic mentoring scheme.
My lessons are targeted for GCSE and A-level students, from individuals who are really struggling overall, to someone who just needs a little help grasping one particularly tricky topic.
