About Maura
Look, I am not here to be incredibly hard on you for anything. This is a space to think a little differently about the world and art itself as a creative practice. You will get as much back from my lessons as you're willing to put in. And if you are it might just help you fall in love with art a little more. Also, I'm literally almost Gen Z so I just want to have enjoy this experience as much as you do.

I aim for a holistic approach in my lessons giving a basic knowledge of the subject but encourage exploration. A topic is always established and broadly explored via improving critical thinking skills, observation and constructive dialogue, let that be about a medium, a piece or a movement. I mostly teach GCSE or A Level classes as I believe those require the depth of knowledge I engage with in class. I aim to make small assessments to aid critical writing skills and to prep students to be able to build and articulate a cohesive argument about existing works of art and also their own pieces in the future.
