About Sulagna

I am a History and Sociology graduate with a strong foundation in language, pedagogy, and social impact. As a former English mentor with Bhasha Samruddhi, I supported students from diverse backgrounds in building confidence and clarity in language. As a Teach For India alumna, I taught English and Social Science to primary school students in Delhi, grounding my teaching in empathy, equity, and student leadership. Currently, I teach Current Affairs to children at Newshoot, nurturing critical thinking from a young age. I also serve as a Senior Facilitator at the Sow Good Foundation, where I train government school teachers on sustainable farming and environmental education—bridging learning with action for a better future.

About the lesson

In my classroom, learning goes beyond textbooks and marks—it's a space where every child’s voice matters. I blend storytelling, role-plays, and real-life connections to make English and Social Science come alive for my students. With primary kids, I use visuals, songs, games, and reflective questioning, while with adults, I adapt content to be discussion-driven and contextual. Practice sessions focus on comprehension, expression, and critical thinking rather than rote learning. I strive to be the best for my students by creating a safe, inclusive environment where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is celebrated, and learning becomes a joyful, lifelong journey.
