About Miles
I am a retired medical school professor of Neurology and Psychiatry and formerly practiced Neurology, Pain Management with an emphasis on headache treatment and Addiction Medicine. I had the opportunity of working in Molecular Biology laboratories as an undergraduate, and in a Neurophysiology laboratory as a medical student, resident and fellow. I subsequently taught nervous system anatomy and physiology, clinical neurology and psychiatry and addiction and its treatment for 35 years, and now teach anatomy, physiology, general biology and molecular biology to college students.

My avocation since college has been acting and on occasion opera, operetta and musical theater singing. I consider teaching to be a form of theater. My goal, both when teaching in medical schools and subsequently, has been to entertain as well as to inform.
