About Sandra
My lifelong passion has been the art of telling stories; the ones we create to make sense of the world and the ones we tell and 'perform' about ourselves. I have worked with hundreds of students from all backgrounds and am always surprised and excited by the works they produce. As a professional writer I have worked in the film and television industry, and as a successful playwright with my work being produced and toured internationally. I have also worked with performance in a therapeutic and applied context, teaching writers and actors how performance can be used to rewrite the past and change lives. I have over 25 years of professional experience as a screen and stage writer, acting tutor and university professor and I hold an MA in Writing for Performance and a PhD in Performing Arts.
I offer one to one and group actor training and teach screenwriting and writing for live performance both in person and online. You will develop your understanding of both stage and screen as an actor/writer, and learn how to take an idea from your imagination, onto the page and into performance.
Access to a professional agent as you develop your craft.
Classes are available for all levels and abilities and run for 90 minutes.
