About Kait
I am a writer and social services professional with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I have over 2 years of experience tutoring writing skills and subject matter related to the social sciences (including sociology, psychology, and geography) and have 1 year of experience substituting in a Montessori classroom setting. I believe that learning can be an inspiring and fun experience! Drawing from diverse modalities such as Montessori methods and Gestalt psychology, I inspire learning through an activity-based model. Rote memorization has its place, but I prefer to encourage the development of critical thinking skills through Socratic questioning, activity-based learning, and discovery.
