About Bethia
I’m a singer, songwriter and vocal coach with a BA (Hons) in Commercial Music. Music has been at the centre of my life for many years, both as a performer and as a teacher, and I’m passionate about helping people discover and develop their own voice.
Alongside teaching, I have worked as a performing musician and songwriter, with experience touring in both the UK and the USA and working professionally within the music industry. I have written and performed original music with orchestras, coached choirs, and run songwriting seminars for developing artists.
As a multi-instrumentalist, I also play keyboard and guitar and am currently learning cello. I have experience with recording, instrumentation and producing original music, which allows me to support students not only with vocal technique but also with musical interpretation, songwriting and artistic development.
I particularly enjoy working with adult singers, hobby performers and singer-songwriters who want to improve their voice in a supportive environment. Some students simply want to build confidence and enjoy singing more, while others are developing their own music and looking to strengthen both their vocal performance and their artistic identity.
My approach to teaching is encouraging, practical and tailored to each individual. Every voice is unique, and my goal is to help students understand how their voice works so they can sing with greater freedom, control and confidence.
Whether your goal is to improve your technique, develop your songs, prepare for a performance or simply enjoy singing more, lessons are always adapted to support your personal goals and musical interests.

My lessons are supportive, relaxed and tailored to each individual singer. Whether you’re completely new to singing or already have some experience, we’ll work together to develop your voice in a way that feels natural, healthy and sustainable.
Lessons typically include a mix of vocal warm-ups, technique work and applying those skills to songs you enjoy singing. We may focus on areas such as breath control, tone, pitch accuracy, vocal range and building confidence in your voice.
I place a strong emphasis on helping students understand the physical mechanics of singing. When singers understand how the voice works within the body, it gives them greater control over their sound and helps them develop their voice in a healthy and sustainable way.
Many of my students are adult hobby singers who simply love singing and want to feel more confident using their voice. I also enjoy working with singer-songwriters and independent artists who would like support developing both their vocal performance and their original music. Lessons can include guidance on vocal delivery, interpreting your own songs, and developing confidence and stage presence as an artist.
For younger singers aged 10+, I’m happy to help with preparing for auditions, performances and school-based music assessments or coursework.
My teaching style is encouraging and practical. The goal is always to help you understand your voice so that you can sing with greater freedom, confidence and enjoyment.
Lessons are available as online singing lessons and can be adapted to suit your goals — whether that’s improving technique, preparing for a performance, developing your own songs, or simply enjoying singing more.
