About Alistair
I am a professional saxophonist, composer and educator with 8 years of experience as a performer and working artist and teaching students of all ages and in different musical styles. I am passionate about helping you achieve your musical goals however big or small. I want to give you a foundation of having a great sound and solid technique on the instrument while pursuing your musical interests.

Hi my name is Alistair. I'm a professional saxophonist, composer and educator originally from Australia and now playing jazz in New York. I have a Master's in Jazz Studies from New York University and have released an album as a leader and have been featured on albums as a sideman and session musician on a number of other projects.
I have 8 years of experience teaching students of all ages and across different musical styles. When you choose me as a teacher you will have a personalized approach to helping you develop and improve on the saxophone. I specialize in jazz and improvisation of any genre but can also help with whatever you wish to explore musically grounded the fundamentals of saxophone sound and technique. I'm looking forward to to helping you on your musical journey!
