About Tess
I am a Piano tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 860 students. My mission is to help learners discover their musical potential while developing creativity, confidence, discipline, and artistic excellence.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with complete beginners, advanced performers, competition participants, examination candidates, and students pursuing music for personal enjoyment. This experience enables me to create highly personalized lessons that support different learning styles and musical goals.
I believe music education should combine technical precision with artistic freedom. Students should learn how to perform accurately while also developing the ability to communicate emotion, meaning, and creativity through music.
Many learners have successfully achieved distinctions in examinations, performed confidently at recitals, participated in competitions, and developed strong musical foundations through my guidance. Their achievements continue to inspire my dedication to music education.

My Piano lessons focus on helping students develop technical mastery, artistic expression, musical understanding, and performance confidence through a structured and highly personalized learning approach. I teach Classical Piano, Contemporary Piano, Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, Improvisation, Rhythm Development, Performance Preparation, and Musical Interpretation.
Students begin by mastering posture, hand positioning, finger independence, note reading, coordination, rhythm accuracy, and listening skills. These foundations provide the framework required for advanced musical development and confident performance.
As learners progress, lessons expand into scales, arpeggios, technical studies, advanced repertoire, interpretation, phrasing, dynamics, improvisation, recital preparation, and performance coaching. Students learn how to understand harmony, structure, and emotional expression while strengthening technical precision.
Theory concepts are integrated directly into practical piano activities so students understand rhythm, harmony, musical form, and analysis while applying these concepts through performance. This balanced approach develops complete musicianship and independent learning skills.
Personalized practice plans, detailed feedback, performance coaching, and continuous assessments help students improve consistently while developing artistic confidence and technical excellence.
