About Tom

I am Tom Ryder, an established singer/songwriter and performer who has been playing live for more than two decades, both solo and as part of bands. I am mostly self-taught on guitar and voice, and my emphasis is on playing songs and equipping students with the skills that they can use to get out there and hone their craft.

About the lesson

My approach is to equip students with the practical skills to start performing or gaining maximum enjoyment from the lessons. Music is to be shared and followed as a passion, so I aim to unlock this in my students. I'll be sure to push you and challenge you to reach your potential, but lessons will move at the right pace tailored to your skills and development, maximising what you are able to achieve. My focus is on bringing plenty of musicality and playing the songs from tab or as they were intended. We will cover some of the theoretical and technical aspects, but the aim will be to have you up and running as soon as possible and working on your skills as a musician.
