About Joel

I am a professional mechanical engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aviation. I have worked in both the marine and mining industries, roles that have relied heavily on the strong foundation of knowledge I developed during my early school years. This has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of building solid habits and understanding in students from the start. I have previously been a private tutor and have found some time within my work schedule to accept some new students. I have a strong academic track record, having received an Academic Excellence Award during my six years at university, as well as being named Graduate of the Year in my final year. I am passionate about sharing my experience in mathematics with students and enjoy helping them not only excel but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. I understand the long-term benefits of a strong mathematics background and the opportunities it can create, and I aim to help students unlock their potential and open doors to future success.

About the lesson

I am able to tutor most levels of math, reach out and discuss your specific requirements. Throughout my higher education, I was fortunate to receive guidance from exceptional private mathematics tutors. Their support was invaluable in helping me grasp the fundamental principles of mathematics and, importantly, in demonstrating how these concepts can be applied in real-world contexts. The skills and insights I gained through this tutoring have been instrumental throughout my university studies and have continued to benefit me in my professional career in both the marine and mining industries.
