About Shannon
I have an educational and professional background in education and developmental psychology. I have many years of experience working with both typical and special needs children of various cultural backgrounds. I also have two children of my own that I am proud to say are also lovers of reading and everything "bookish".

I use evidence-based and universal design for learning (UDL) practices to design lessons that engage and challenge students. I work to foster a love of learning and literacy in each of my students to keep them motivated. I ensure to track their progress in ways that provide them with tangible results they can be proud of.
