About Xotchil
I’m Xotchil Musser, a multi-skilled, award-winning designer with a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University. My work spans theater, dance, experiential marketing, architecture, and interactive art, all centered on the transformative power of light. As your Vectorworks Spotlight tutor, I bring both technical expertise and creative vision from applying these tools across diverse industries. My goal is to make Vectorworks Spotlight clear, practical, and enjoyable to learn — whether you’re just starting out or want to refine your professional lighting workflow.
I focus on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of abstract tutorials, we work on real examples like stage plots, lighting rigs, and event layouts. I guide students through step-by-step demonstrations, then encourage them to apply each concept on their own projects, with me providing feedback and tips.
