Not sure if the Korean is all right but to put it in English, I don't have alot of opportunities to practice to my family and going at it alone has always seemed hard. With Mia's help, I feel like I regained some motivation to practice again. She is great at adapting her lessons to meet your goals and needs. I felt like I was quite a unique mix of skills level between my spoken and written Korean skills and felt unsure. After the first meeting, she easily found lessons that could work as a starting point and quickly adapts lessons as needed. She is quick to spot areas where I may have learned something incorrectly and other gaps I have from only learning the language through spoken words.

Classes are enjoyable and relaxed environment. The pace is set by myself and my effort. I dont feel like I have to feel bad if I missed something in the homework.

Perfect! Mia is an excellent Korean language tutor whose teaching experience really comes through in her lessons. She has really helped me work through some grammar issues I had, and she is also quite flexible in terms of topics, special vocabulary, etc. Her homework is a great mix of reading, speaking, and writing, and thus her lessons feel more like an actual course which extends far beyond the in-person sessions. Strongly recommend, especially for anyone wanting to learn in-person in Edinburgh!

She clearly puts a huge amount of effort in to best cater for her students needs, tailoring lessons carefully to meet their goals. Perfect! I have been a student of Mia’s since April 2022. I have to say she has been an excellent tutor for me. I started from knowing only the Korean alphabet to now having conversational Korean. Mia expects you to work hard and manages to help you remember the Korean language by repetition and having an ordered learning program. She is an experienced tutor and will adjust her teaching techniques to try and help you learn. Homework is always given and short tests are used to consolidate your knowledge. I highly recommend her.
