I’m Marlene Hoenig, a seasoned professional with more than 40 years of combined experience in business, professional ministry, teaching, mentoring, leadership, counseling, and helping individuals navigate challenging circumstances and develop practical skills for life and work. My coaching is designed for people who want to become more confident and effective in their professional lives—not simply find a job, but learn how to succeed once they are there. Perhaps you’re already working and want help becoming more organized, confident, proactive, and effective. Perhaps you find that unexpected situations sometimes bring you to a place of uncertainty or overwhelm. Or perhaps you’re ready to step into greater responsibility but want someone in your corner who can help you think through situations before they become overwhelming. That’s the kind of coaching I provide. Real-Life Coaching I believe some of the best coaching happens with real situations. Bring the issue that came up this week. We’ll talk through: What happened? What needed attention? What could wait? What information was missing? What could have been anticipated? What is the next step? What can we put in place so it is easier next time? Rather than simply solving today’s problem, we’ll work toward developing a system or strategy you can use independently tomorrow. Communication & Confidence We can practice conversations through role-play so that you don’t have to wait until you’re in a stressful situation to figure out what to say. We can practice: • Speaking with parents • Communicating with students • Talking with supervisors • Handling disagreement • Responding to criticism • Asking for clarification • Setting professional boundaries • Addressing difficult situations • Explaining yourself clearly • Speaking with confidence during interviews My Coaching Style My approach is supportive, practical, direct, and individualized. I don’t believe coaching should make you feel like you’re being judged. I want you to understand your strengths, recognize the areas where you need additional strategies, and develop tools that work with the way you think and learn. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to coaching. That’s part of what we’re working on together. About the lesson

My lessons will be in person or on Zoom, if you are not in my service area.

We will begin with a complimentary meeting, assessment, and mutual introduction to discuss your purpose, leadership style and personality and determine if we would be a good fit.
