About Elisa

I am an independent professional with a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology (Italy) and a Master’s Degree in Production Engineering and Social Innovation (Brazil).

I have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, both natively and professionally developed, which I continue to improve.
I have worked in Italy, Brazil, the UK and other 30 countries over the last twenty years, accumulating experiences in a variety of language services, including private tutoring (group and individual), tour guiding, storytelling coaching and mentoring, community interpreting for the public services, the Law courts and the police.

I have also been developing editing and proofreading skills, due to my work with written translation, which includes books, scientific articles, social projects and marketing materials for the non-governmental sector and charities, publications and travel articles in magazines and blogs.

I am a travel writer (in English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish) and an author and I write regularly for several online publications.

Travelling and photography are my passions. I have an endless curiosity for cultures and languages and I have started learning my fifth language (Swahili) and re-learning my school French.

About the lesson

My name is Elisa, born and bred in Italy, and I would love to be your language tutor.

If you let me, I will take you on a journey and show you the wonders of learning a new language and its culture.
I am a patient tutor and motivator, who aims to constantly inspire you so that you can continue to learn and achieve your goals.

Naturally passionate about languages, in my career as a language tutor, I always provide my students with the highest quality standards based on their individual needs, levels, and learning preferences.

Over the years, in contact with a culturally diverse public, I have developed unique teaching methods and materials that would help you achieve great results while providing an interactive and engaging learning process.

I use extensively different kinds of media to create an interesting and stimulating environment.
I believe that the visual aspect of any learning process should be encouraged and used as an additional tool. I am a storyteller and I believe that listening, as well as speaking, enhances inner qualities and interests through which a language is not only learned, but also, vividly absorbed.
