About Kasra

I’m a professional musician and graduate of McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, with years of experience performing, recording, and collaborating with musicians in different styles and settings. I have performed professionally across Canada and have had the opportunity to work with several established artists throughout my career.
Guitar has been an important part of my musical journey, both as a performer and songwriter. Alongside performing, I have a strong background in music theory and enjoy helping others understand music in a way that feels practical rather than overly complicated.
I’m patient, easygoing, and passionate about creating a comfortable learning environment. I believe everyone learns differently, so I want my students to feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, experiment, and develop their own musical identity. Whether your goal is to play your favorite songs, write your own music, understand theory, or simply become a more confident musician, I’m happy to help you get there.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around each student’s goals, musical taste, and experience level. Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to improve your technique and musical understanding, I will adapt the lessons to what you want to achieve.
We can work on chords, rhythm, strumming, fingerstyle, technique, ear training, improvisation, songwriting, and learning the songs you enjoy. I also incorporate music theory in a practical way, so you can understand why the music works instead of simply memorizing shapes and patterns.
As a professional musician and McGill music graduate, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world performing experience to my teaching. My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students can develop solid musical foundations while finding their own style and creativity.
Lessons are open to beginners, intermediate students, and anyone who wants to become more confident and independent as a guitarist and musician.
