About Matthew
I adore teaching - whether you are just starting out or you are an advanced player looking for fresh tips and techniques, please get in touch. I work for two exam boards LCM and ABRSM so I can guide you through grading on Acoustic, Electric, or Classical Guitar. Alternatively you can play as a hobby. My approach is thorough, well tailored and above all great fun!!

My background is diverse, I studied at the Keech School of Music and Performance in Hull as a youngster. I also played Jazz and Rock guitar and was in the Medieval Music band.
I started teaching at age 15 after passing my Grade 8 Classical Guitar. I also studied Music Theory up to Grade 8 with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
I went on to teach at the music school I'd studied at when I was in my 20's, I have 22 years experience teaching on a 1-1 basis and teaching classes and groups.
I have travelled across the U.K and Europe playing full time and doing session work in bands
