About Victoria
Besides writing professionally for over 20 years, I'm also a Special Education Instructional Assistant for LAUSD, and have worked with a variety of students on their coursework. I have a BA in Fashion Merchandising from CSULA, a Print and Broadcast Journalism Certificate from UCLA Extension, and I just received an MA in Fashion Journalism from the Academy Of Art University.

I usually approach writing instruction by teaching the students I work with how to first organize their writing ideas with brainstorming and lists of ideas. I then help them create a Venn diagram, Mind Map, outline, or storyboard to further organize their ideas. From that I usually have them write a first draft then edit it from there. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I've successfully used these techniques in my professional writing and had great results. My lessons can be geared for elementary school to students in college. I prefer to work with elementary school students, however, because it's more effective to teach good writing habits at a young age.
