I have taught English, GED, business, and computer courses at the middle, high, and college levels since 2002. My tutoring is mostly linked to my own company, McGrath Educational Services, in Newport News, VA. I draw students from various outlets.

Everyone can learn. The question is finding what makes each student tick. I believe in a student-centered relationship based on honesty and trust, and highlighted by open-ended communication. By finding the proper baseline of one's knowledge, we can begin to grow and prosper in any given subject. Although my licensure is for English, as a GED instructor, I am also proficient in Math, Social Studies, and to some degree, Science.
