About Oluwakemi

As a tutor, I’m committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism. My experience across diverse roles, from teaching Geometry at KIPP St. Louis High School to serving as Head Tutor at Jacksonville University, has instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to my students' success.

In every tutoring session, I prioritize respect, punctuality, and thorough preparation. I approach each student with patience and an open mind, ready to adapt my methods to fit their unique needs. I’m well-versed in technical subjects like Calculus, Physics, and Differential Equations, and I am skilled in breaking down complex concepts into understandable parts.

About the lesson

I’d be a great choice as a tutor because I have extensive experience helping students succeed across a variety of subjects, and I’m genuinely passionate about helping others learn. During my time at Jacksonville University, I served as a Peer Tutor and eventually as Head Tutor at the Academic Support Center, where I worked with over 200 students in areas like Calculus, Physics, and Differential Equations. With a 95% success rate, I helped students improve their grades and confidence in their studies.

My teaching experience extends beyond tutoring sessions. As a Lead Teacher in Geometry at KIPP St. Louis High School through Teach For America, I developed customized lesson plans and adapted my teaching style to match each student’s learning needs, creating a supportive and engaging environment. I take a student-centered approach, making sure to listen to each student’s needs and adjust my teaching style to fit their unique learning preferences. I also bring strong technical skills in math, science, and engineering, which makes me well-equipped to tackle complex concepts.

With my background in both one-on-one tutoring and classroom teaching, I’m confident I can help students not only understand the material but also develop effective study strategies and a genuine interest in learning.
