About Nathan

Did you know that cello is one of the most beautiful instruments to hear as it is the closest to the human tessitura? Well I do, and if you choose to trust me as a tutor, your children or even yourself will soon enough. Music's indeed always been all my life, growing up in a family of two music teachers. This personal journey allowed me to both acquire the skills and knowledge essential to make a good teaching method, and the musical tools required to become a good musician, such as perfect pitch, a professional understanding of music theory, and a natural feeling of rhythm and melody. Today, as a French transfer student at UC Berkeley, I am eager to transmit this beautiful part of myself to others to help fund my studies. I indeed feel that music and practicing an instrument are a wonderful hobby as an asset in life, whether to present yourself as cultured or developing peculiar methods of thinking that are helpful to any sciences, from mathematics to languages.

About the lesson

As a French professional cello player who graduated from the renowned National Conservatory of Music of Lyon (France) in both Cello, music theory and Opera, I propose teaching lessons of cello and music theory to students of all levels, through an individualized method adapted to their personal needs. After a 17-long musical career which started at home, growing up with two parents that are music teachers, I now transferred at UC Berkeley to pursue my studies. I am more than qualified to give lessons to your children or even yourself, as the most important lies not in the skills of the professor but its teaching method, which I was able to perfect during my four-year experience of private tutoring in Cello. As a passionate student growing up in a music teacher family, I am eager to pass on knowledge to those less experienced than myself, so that they can discover or deepen their knowledge of the wonderful art of music, as I myself have had the chance to do.
