About Jason
I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, and have been wanting to teach for just as long. I am a professional artist with a Master’s in Arts Education, and I love making art accessible and fun for everyone. My work has been featured in galleries, displayed in homes, and even graced the cover of a published book. I’ve also completed various commissions for private clients, which has helped me refine my ability to bring each person’s unique vision to life. I teach all ages, from children to adults, and I’m easygoing, cheerful, and always open to chatting about your goals and ideas. My lessons can be as laid-back or as challenging as you want. I bring a unique perspective to my art and teaching approach, creating a space where creativity and individuality are celebrated. While we keep things lighthearted and fun, I’m also honest with feedback because I want you to improve and get the most out of our time together. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping others discover and grow their artistic voice. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m excited to work with you!

I offer personalized drawing and painting lessons in a variety of mediums, including Oil, Acrylic, Gouache, Casein, and Watercolor. Each lesson is tailored to your individual needs and experience level, whether you're a beginner or an advanced artist. We’ll start with what you know and progress to more complex techniques.
Lessons are designed to align with your goals, whether you’re preparing for art school, exploring a new medium for personal enrichment, or looking to pick up art for the first time. My teaching style is flexible: lessons can be relaxed or more challenging, depending on your preference. You’ll also have the option to do homework or practice outside of class to accelerate your progress.
Throughout the lessons, I will not only guide you through the steps to create a magnificent painting or drawing but also show you how to prepare a canvas/surface, maintain a safe working environment, and even frame your work in the process of creating gallery-ready pieces to showcase anywhere.
The first class is a chance for us to get to know each other and assess where you’re at. Together, we’ll decide what you want to achieve and plan your learning path.
Please note, that no-shows or cancellations without prior notice will be charged in full, as I reserve my time for each lesson.
