About Fernando
I am a scientist in the field of plant breeding and genetics with more than 20 years of career experience and an innate passion to motivate others to expand their knowledge through disciplined work in an positive, supportive environment.
I realized I had a passion for teaching during my formative educational years as an undergraduate student, when I had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant (General Physics).
Throughout my professional career I mentored, trained, and coached several young individuals.

I use a combination of lecture/direct discussion methods in which I as the instructor transmit the knowledge using a method that consists of an introduction to the topic, importance, demonstration, and examples. This is followed by opening the remainder of the session to questions related to the topic covered.
A lesson plan: 1) Introduction of the topic, 2) Importance, 3) Demonstration of the subject matter, 4) Examples, 5) Questions
This is presented using a Power point presentation
