About Emily
I am a qualified secondary science teacher, currently completing my probationary year. I teach BGE Science and National 5 Chemistry, and I am passionate about helping young people grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I became a teacher because I genuinely enjoy making complex ideas clear and accessible. Chemistry can feel overwhelming, but with the right support and explanations, every pupil can succeed. I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged and motivated to do their best.

My tutoring sessions are structured, supportive and tailored to individual needs. I focus on breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, using clear explanations, worked examples and regular retrieval practice. For National 5 pupils, I place strong emphasis on exam-style questions, key words and marking schemes to maximise attainment.
I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their problem-solving skills.
