About Alisia
I am a certified Teacher of the Deaf and a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in the state of Texas with over 25 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in developing strong communication and language skills, including instruction in American Sign Language (ASL). In addition to my work in Deaf and visual impairment education, I am an experienced Spanish teacher with a passion for helping students acquire new languages and build meaningful cross-cultural connections. I also have extensive experience working with ESL learners, elementary-aged students, and adult students, supporting them in developing proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and signing English.
