About Denise
I have been teaching for over twenty years. Between tutoring, homeschooling, and operating a Christian school, I have taught about thirty-two students from preschool to 12th grade. This does not include the students I have taught in churches through ministry. Many of my tutored students have now graduated high school. They went on to college or began careers in the dream fields. One currently is pursuing a career in culinary arts, one is opening her own photography business, one is living her dream teaching dance at a dance studio. One is beginning his dream of world travel. He begins this week traveling to New Zealand. One is pursuing a degree in information technology at AUM, while another (a graduate of a local public school, but I tutored) graduated last year from Troy State with a Bachelor's in Psychology.

I am a homeschool mom of twenty-two years. I have been a private tutor for over ten years, to both homeschool and public school students. As a ministry of our church, I direct a homeschool cover, and for six years directed and taught in the Christian school.
I have a Bachelors in Education, a Masters in Human Services/Marriage and Family Counseling, and a Masters Certificate in Human Services/Criminal Justice all from Liberty University Online (Lynchburg, VA). I am currently pursuing a Masters in Science Management/Public Policy from Colorado Technical University.
I employ a an eclectic approach to student instruction. The student's learning style and personal make-up should be taken into consideration when developing lesson plans and instruction. I believe learning should be a way of life, instead of something confined to a classroom of peers.
