About Soraya
I am a musician and secondary school teacher living in London. I have completed my PGCE and have been awarded a QTS where I now teach from KS3-GCSE level music and music tech.
Every worksheet, listening exercise, and exam-style question I use is built specifically around exam board requirements and tailored to the student in front of me, so lessons always feel useful.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, giving enough time to explore a topic properly, work through practical or exam-style tasks, and recap key vocabulary and concepts before finishing. Closer to exams, I can offer shorter, more frequent 30–45 minute sessions focused on targeted revision.
I break topics down into clear, connected strands so students understand how musical elements work together rather than memorising facts in isolation. We start with set work listening before focusing on comparing with other pieces of music.
My tutoring is suited for secondary school students from KS3 through to GCSE level. I work with students who want extra support to push their grade higher, and beginners who are keen to build strong musical foundations, whether their interest lies in theory or listening.
