About Camille

Camille is a private ballet coach with 19 years of education and performance experience. She completed her formal training in a conservatory style school, focusing on classical ballet techniques such as RAD, Vaganova, and Balanchine. She danced with professional companies such as Texas Ballet Theater and Sacramento Ballet, and performed soloist roles in professional productions such as The Nutcracker, Dracula, Alice in Wonderland, and more. In addition to professional ballet, she has trained extensively in contemporary, modern, Graham, and improvisation techniques. Currently, she is earning her BFA in Dance through the Alonzo King LINES BFA program in San Francisco, CA. Camille also is the founder and CEO of Petals En Pointe: A Ballerina for Hire service specializing in weddings, birthday parties, and other special events.

About the lesson

I prioritize a very personalized and goal-oriented approach with my lessons. We will work on things that YOU actually want to improve on! A typical private lesson will consist of specialized work at the barre: improving shape, form, and technique. Then we will transition to the center, working on maintaining our technique when executing bigger movements, like big and small jumps or across the floor combinations. We will also work on developing artistry and acting abilities specific for ballet.

In our first lesson, I will personally evaluate your skill level, your strengths, and areas of improvement. From there, we will have a discussion about your personal goals and expectations from your private lessons. Once we have 3-4 goals in mind, we will work over the course of your privates to achieve those goals.

Additionally, I offer classical and contemporary variation teaching and coaching for competitions or for audition videos.

Who are my lessons for?

My lessons are for passionate dancers ages 8 and up. Ideally, my students will have a love for learning, adaptability, and be self-motivated. I also coach adult ballet dancers of any age who are looking to improve their technique or learn variations.

What makes my coaching special?

My coaching prioritizes the dancer. In classical ballet environments, it is expected that the student appeases the teacher, no matter what. My goal is to build your confidence as a dancer and ensure that you have total authority over your technique, artistry, and performance.
