About Lambrie

I'm a data engineer at a global consulting firm and mentoring and teaching is in my DNA. I enjoy teaching, especially programming. The moment someone realises the potential of programming and understand how to use it to solve problems, its absolutely priceless to me. I teach or mentor for these moments

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching according to each student. I teach full stack programming using Python from data analysis work to web development. In addition I also teach SQL and Excel, if the student is interested in the data world.

I always start with an exploratory session to understand the current level of understanding of the topic at hand. Determine the main focus, whether it is on data engineering/analysis or on software development.

Once the level of understanding and main focus point are determined we will setup end goals and break it down over the term of tutoring into meaningful and digestible sessions.

In general I enjoy working through the "Python for Kids" book by Jason Briggs to cover most of the basics for Python when working with younger kids and combining it with Scratch to visualise many of the abstract concepts in Python
