About Nancy

Hi!

I have recently completed my PGDE in Primary Education at the University of Edinburgh and will be taking on tutoring students before I begin a full-time teaching post in August.

I have taught children aged 4-12 in schools in both Scotland and England and as such have extensive knowledge of both curricula and am experienced teaching in all primary subject areas. Previous to this I have worked as a specialist French teacher in a primary school and private tutor to both adults and children preparing for exams or wishing to improve their conversational fluency in English, French, or Spanish.

I have a first-class degree in French and Spanish from King's College London during which I spent a year working and studying in France and Spain.

I work hard to ensure that my lessons meet my students' needs, both in ensuring they meet their personal and academic goals, and that they are able to work in the way that works best for them. For children in particular, this may mean making lessons fun, engaging and tailored to their specific interests. I am warm, friendly and patient, and hope to make tutoring a positive experience for learners.

About the lesson

I teach all primary curriculum subjects for children aged 4-12. I also have experience working with children with ASN. I am experienced, friendly and patient and keen to make lessons fun, engaging and tailored to you and your child's specific needs.

Additionally, as a French and Spanish graduate, I am available to tutor French and Spanish as well as English as an Additional Language to both children and adults, whether your goal is supporting school success, improving conversational confidence, or preparing for formal examinations.
