About Ashley
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with three years of tutoring experience. I am fun, patient and passionate about helping children succeed and develop confidence in their own abilities. I particularly enjoy helping children understand something they have previously found difficult and seeing the moment when a new skill or concept finally clicks. Maths has been a subject I have enjoyed since I was at school, and I love having the opportunity to share that enthusiasm with others. Above all, I want children to enjoy learning and finish each session feeling that they have achieved something.

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each child, with targeted practice focusing on the areas where they need the most support. I break learning down into clear, easy-to-understand steps and adapt my explanations to suit each learner. I like to make lessons engaging by using humour and, where possible, relating questions to the child’s own interests. I celebrate small successes along the way to help build confidence and encourage a positive attitude towards learning. Lessons typically last one hour and are aimed at primary-aged children from 7–11, including those preparing for their SATs.
