About Philippa
I am a personable and dedicated tutor with the ability to inspire and motivate my students to believe in themselves and achieve their learning goals. I believe the key to my success as a tutor is my ability to build a strong rapport with my students. I am patient, flexible and adapt my teaching to suit the individual's learning style. I have been teaching for over ten years in an OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' state school in Twickenham.
I offer both English and Maths tutoring (1 hour sessions) for Primary (ages 3-11)

Tutoring English: Reading/Phonics/Writing and Maths for 3-11 year olds (Primary)
1 hour session
10+ years experience teaching in a state primary school.
4 years experience tutoring alongside my teaching.
I have successfully supported children through their Phonics Screening Checks and KS1/KS2 SATs with great results.
I live in Thames Ditton and I am happy to travel locally or tutor online.
A tutor’s role is different from an everyday school teacher’s. I believe that by developing a strong rapport with my students one on one, I am able to create unique and tailor-made lessons to enhance the individual’s strengths and develop their weaknesses. I start off with a baseline assessment to allow us to hit the ground running.
