About Shahrin
I am a primary school teacher. My role is to teach and inspire young minds. I teach children to be confident and autonomous. I devise lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines and encouraging student participation and performance. I have had the opportunity to work as a childcare assistant in a private nursery. My role consisted of me caring and safeguarding children, enhancing their development through the help of the EYFS. My role of being a key worker allows me to organise age and ability appropriate activities.I also work with children with SEN.
I like to play different types of games to help students increase their English vocabulary. I like to sing, singing songs and nursery rhymes is a great way to learn the English language and it is always very fun! I use musical instruments to make lessons more engaging. I use different types of props when teaching as this allows children to understand better and gain new information. For example when talking about birthdays I will use balloons and party decorations. When teaching about different jobs that adults do i.e a doctor I will use props like a doctors coat, mask or a stethoscope. I also love reading books, I read very clearly. sometimes I use different voices to fit the character i'm reading.
