About Laura
Hello! My name is Laura and I have been a primary school teacher for almost ten years. Along the way I have taught children from age 4 to 11, and I have loved every second! Two years ago, I had a baby boy and so I now work part time at school. That means the rest of my week is free to help individual learners who need a bit of extra support. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I am extremely passionate about the way in which young people learn. Throughout my teaching career, I have always endeavoured to make learning fun, engaging and accessible for all. Some people learn best sat a desk and writing notes, while others learn best building dens and houses outside. There is no right or wrong way; the important thing is that you learn in a way which is fun and engaging for you. I have always strived to achieve this when teaching in the classroom, and will continue this throughout my tutoring sessions.
