About Roxanne
I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a local Secondary School working predominantly with SEN students in English, Design Technology and Language lessons. My current job has given me the opportunity to work with an array of SEN students on a 1-to-1 basis, helping them in English and creating resources to help them. I have recently graduated from the Open University where I studied French and Children's Literature; prior to the Open University, I studied at the University of Portsmouth where I studied TESOL, French and Spanish.

I predominantly work with Years 10 and 11, however, I have experience working with younger years too. Prior to my current job, I worked as a TEFL teacher teaching English as a Second Language to an array of students all varying in age. I prefer to teach using realia/visual aids as well as encouraging students to practice their spoken skills. I always ask the student what they are struggling with so I can get a better understanding and then and then break these difficulties down into clear and simple sections to aid in their learning and understanding of the topic.
