About Ned
Hi, I’m Ned, a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher offering personalized online tutoring for students in Years 3 to 6. With a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and several years of classroom experience, I specialize in supporting students in both English and Mathematics, helping them build confidence, master key skills, and achieve their learning goals in a calm and encouraging environment. All sessions are delivered via Zoom, allowing students to learn comfortably from home while receiving high-quality, curriculum-aligned instruction.

My teaching approach is grounded in explicit instruction, scaffolded learning, and ongoing formative feedback. I take the time to understand each child’s strengths and challenges, using a variety of tools—including adaptive AI platforms—to personalise every lesson. Whether your child is struggling with concepts, needs support preparing for NAPLAN, or is ready for extension, I tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, structured to maximise engagement and impact. Each session includes a brief warm-up or review, followed by focused instruction and practice, and concludes with reflection and goal-setting. For younger learners or those who benefit from shorter sessions, I also offer 45-minute options.
My tutoring is best suited for students in Years 3 to 6, typically aged 8 to 12, who are looking for consistent, supportive guidance to help them thrive academically. I work with students of all abilities, including those who are disengaged, need targeted intervention, or seek to be challenged further.
