About Stewart
Studying at Manhattan School of Music gave me a structural foundation for teaching guitar over 13 years. I focus on electric technique and fingerpicking to ensure students gain real facility on the instrument.
My curriculum covers improvisation, soloing, and songwriting alongside music theory. Blues progressions are a frequent point of study for my diverse range of players. I have guided countless students from nervous beginners to grade exam candidates.

Admitting that I emphasize fundamentals first often surprises those who want to skip the basics. I track an 8.0 rating in student progress by ensuring every finger movement serves a musical purpose.
Students receive a 6 part roadmap during their initial consultation to define their goals. My background allows me to pinpoint technical hurdles before they become habits. I enjoy seeing the moment a student finally masters a complex chord change. Maybe we can start by looking at your current practice routine.
