About Sher

I am Amina. I am working toward my Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I am a Pre-med student at Hofstra Honors College. I have been tutoring for over 4 years. I love tutoring and currently, I am a tutor at Hofstra University. I believe that learning something can be really fun. And it becomes more fun when it is taught in the right way. I enjoy teaching students and love to help others learn better and become successful persons in the future. I can understand how hard it can get when you have a lot of stuff to learn in a short time period. So, I try my best to help my students not just memorize their lesson but to understand it. Usually, I teach my students virtually but I also offer in-person lessons at my University place. I don't really charge my students that much, because I think that not many students can afford it. If you are struggling with Math or Biology, I can help you with that.

About the lesson

I try my best to make my teaching environment dynamic and comfortable. Before teaching, I always ask my students about their learning styles and what study method works best for them. I also make lesson plans first so, it helps students to keep them engaged in studying. I provide uncountable learning and useful resources to my students. I always make sure that my students are learning and understanding, and not falling behind.

I have been tutoring Math and other science-related subjects for over 3 years online. I believe that teaching Math is fun so learning can be too! I worked with students in person where I taught them Algebra and helped them with their Regents exam. Furthermore, I helped students virtually by using zoom with their math homework. I can teach college Algebra and precalc as well. I have a small group of students whom I teach virtually. I help them solving equations or sometimes letting them work on their own and then check it out.
