I am a practicing surgeon who attended an Ivy League university as a D1 athlete and a top 15 medical school. I understand school is not easy for everyone and I believe hard work beats talent and raw intelligence any day. With the right preparation, anyone can have the opportunity to excel.

I attended public school, private school, was recruited to the Ivy League as a D1 athlete, matriculated to a top 15 medical school and now am a practicing surgeon. I teach because I love it and try to understand my students' motivations which I feel equipped to do given my diverse educational background. I meet students where they are to push them forward gently but firmly.
