About Ryan
I am a practiced violin tutor with 6 years of experience teaching students of all levels. I have successfully guided around 210 students, helping them build accurate technique and genuine musical confidence. My teaching method for Violin, Music Theory, and Ear Training reflects six years of helping students refine their technique through structured, patient, and encouraging coaching.
Structure guides how I organize sessions, moving students clearly through posture and bow hold before introducing finger positioning, scales, and simple melodies.
Patience shapes every lesson, since bowing control and intonation take real time to develop, so I never rush a student ahead before they are ready.
Encouragement stays present throughout, since recognizing small improvements keeps students motivated through the more demanding stages of technical growth.
Lessons begin with posture, bow hold, and finger positioning, followed by scales and simple melodies to build muscle memory, along with early music theory basics like rhythm and note reading.
As students advance, I focus on intonation refinement, tone quality work, and ear training to sharpen pitch sense, along with basic performance preparation for interested students.
I adjust my teaching to match each student's personal goals, whether playing casually or working toward more advanced study. My aim is a structured, patient space where every violin student grows steadily.
