About Francisco
I am a native Spanish speaker and fully bilingual journalist, editor, and communications professional with extensive experience working across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. I have spent my career writing, editing, interviewing public figures, and managing media projects in both Spanish and English. I also lived in Madrid for five years, giving me firsthand familiarity with Spanish as it is spoken in both Latin America and Spain.
My professional background has given me a deep understanding of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, tone, and style. I can help students learn not only the rules of the language, but also how Spanish is naturally used in everyday conversations, professional environments, travel, and written communication.

My teaching approach is practical, personalized, and focused on helping students communicate naturally and confidently in Spanish. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, interests, and learning style. Lessons combine conversation with clear explanations of grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and writing, using authentic materials and real-life situations.
A typical lesson begins with a short conversation and a review of previous material. We then introduce a specific topic or language skill, practice it through guided exercises, and apply it in a realistic conversation or writing activity. We finish by reviewing corrections, answering questions, and setting a clear goal for the next lesson.
What sets me apart is my professional background as a native Spanish-speaking journalist, editor, and communicator. I have worked extensively in Spanish and English and lived in Madrid for five years, so I can help students understand both Latin American Spanish and the Spanish spoken in Spain. I teach not only correct grammar, but also natural expressions, appropriate tone, and how Spanish is genuinely used in everyday and professional settings.
