About Valentina
I've just finished a postgraduate diploma in physics. I studied fluid dynamics in the eroding gullies of Queensland. I also did some side projects in the computer science department setting up a museum exhibit for touring.
But my favorite part of the year? Teaching in the first-year physics classes. It's a subject I could go on about for hours, and it really is lovely to see a student when a concept finally clicks!
I'm taking a year to explore teaching as a career, before I start my master's in 2027. I hope I can help some students to acquire a love for physics, coding, and/or math. Do reach out :)
I work well with neurodiverse students and people with varied learning backgrounds.
I'm currently home in Waikato but will be returning to Dunedin in February

I will show you how to work through problems in your subject. I like to use diagrams and intuitive examples to help my students gain a real understanding! Show me some examples your teacher has given out and we will work through them together. Otherwise, I am happy to provide my own. I want my students to succeed. We'll find what kind of learning style suits you best

Valentina has a true passion for explaining concepts in a way that is very captivating and easy to understand. she has taught me a lot over this year as my flatmate. i don’t have a physics background, but the way she talks about physics is inspiring.
Valentina is great at breaking down concepts to a lay level. She comes up with examples and new ways of describing things that make it easy to conceptualise and piece together concepts and pieces of information. Would reccomend!
