About Maria
I have been giving private tutoring lessons for two years and worked mainly with students who are going A level and the IB, but have also tutored undergraduate students in Politics.
All the students I have tutored have obtained excellent results in their exams, mainly the IB students, three of which got above 39 points in their final results.
As for the A level students, most of them received excellent grades, the lowest being a B.
I am able to help students increase their grade averages by making them excited about the subject they are learning. This has led to two of my pupils to continue studying History at university level.

My name is Maria Valente Chaudary and I am currently starting my Postgraduate MA in International Relations at the University of Manchester. I am offering tutoring in History, Geography and Politics to students who are undergoing their AS and A levels as well as the International Baccalaureate. I am also fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish so am able to tutor students who do not have English as their first language.
Every student has different ways of learning therefore I try my best to cater to each individual student in order to ensure that they understand all the information given to them. So, it is important for me to talk to prospective students in order to understand and find out how they learn best. I believe that learning goes beyond simple memorization and students must develop critical thinking skills in order to really understand and question the subjects they are learning.
With me, you will receive constant feedback and constructive comments to help you achieve your academic goals. I will also offer you guidance on anything from exam preparation to essay writing and so forth. I try to create a peaceful learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable to ask questions and learn from their mistakes in the most positive way.
I offer face-to-face lessons to students in the Manchester area as well as video-chat tutoring.
