About Ruth
As a young girl, the stars were Ruth's best friends. Carl Sagan’s famous quote, “We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself” and her passion for Astrobiology influenced many of the choices that she made. She was involved in various kinds of Physics and Astronomy related projects including: Analyzing X-ray data from the ISRO’s Astrosat, being a member of the astronomy club, organizing various stargazing events, and Learning to operate telescopes.
Tragedy struck when her health diminished, causing her to miss her Master’s entrance exams. Distraught, Ruth believed that she would no longer be a scientist. But shortly after, she discovered a Monsoon school which had a program on ‘Physics of Life ‘. In the application process, she had to write a story about the similarities and dissimilarities between humans and aliens. Writing that story reignited her passion for Astrobiology. During the experience, she developed an interest in Neuroscience. She took on many projects in her pursuit of understanding the mind. She assisted in creating the organization ‘Project Encephalon ‘, organized the first International Youth led Neuroscience Conference ‘Neuronovember Convention 2020’, and mentoring at IYNA Youth Neuroscience Organization. Currently, Ruth is working on her Master’s thesis, investigating applications of radiation therapy to improve treatments for Neurodegenerative disorders. She is also involved in a research project regarding ML models for depression treatments.
We are made of star-stuff, and Ruth wants to understand our place in the universe. Alongside her efforts to promote STEM education among young generations, she plans to apply to PhD programs which combine her lifelong love of Space and her passion for Neuroscience and solve challenges faced by the field of Space Medicine. Ruth believes that human physiology and the space are intertwined and wants to create a safe future for manned spaceflight.

The core of my teaching methodology includes both traditional and technology based techniques. The main focus is to be able to deliver knowledge in a simple and meaningful way to students. Primarily by teaching fundamentals as well as relating the course topics to real life situation. Being a researcher myself I can easily relate to the needs of my students and also provide them with various platforms to engage and discover their passions. I believe that every student has their own style of learning and I strongly believe in making the process of learning specifically designed to individual student's needs. My interdisciplinary background helps me to approach a problem from different aspects and I would make sure that my students can also learn to appreciate the beauty of science from every aspect. Along with that i also prefer to help my students in finding various career and research opportunities to develop their profile for a career in the science especially if you are passionate about space technology I can be your guide for it . If you really love the subject you will find the learning process enjoyable despite the hurdles on the way and as your teacher I will make sure you learn not to just score but to build the future of Earth.
